Quinncinema.com represents the creative portfolio of Andrew Quinn, a.k.a. Me.  The subtitle of this site says it all - Film as Folklore: The Narrative of Reality.  I believe that a good filmmaker must be, above all, a great story-teller, someone who relishes meeting new people, trying new things, and enjoying every novel interaction.

I am very interested in being challenged, having fun, learning from others, and any sort of creative collaboration - so please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have an idea or inspiration you might want help realizing.

What is my background?  Can I just write “everything,” and be done with this?  From pitches to VO, lipstick cams to Varicams, youtube uploads to HD masters, I do it all!  If there’s something I haven’t done before, I’ll tell you so, and be happy and confident to learn it quickly.  I relish teaching others the skills I’ve learned, as well as gaining new knowledge from professionals and amateurs alike.

In the realm of all things not relating to the film industry (yes, there is more to life than film and television), I very much pride myself on my life and work experiences.  I am or have been, among other things, a Marine Biologist (non-practicing), technical and scientific research SCUBA diver, forklift operator, handyman, roofer, truck driver, landscaper, and Christmas tree salesman.

That may sound like a disparate and irrelevant list of odd jobs, but the truth is that the more you’ve done in life, the more easily you can relate to a variety of people, places, and situations.  As a non-fiction filmmaker, there is no more apropos ability than communicating well with others.

When I’m not producing, shooting, or editing AMAZING subjects, I’m probably either surfing, hiking, playing basketball, taking photographs, cooking, eating, laughing, and/or spending time with my 2 dogs, parrot, and wife.
